Network Convenor Guide

This page explains the responsibilities of a Network Convenor and how they can use the Network Sites to facilitate their role.

The Role of Network Convenor

Network Convenors are the lead members of the Networks. They are responsible for building the agendas for Quarterly Network Meetings, taking minutes and supporting Network collaboration.

For an in-depth explanation of the Network Convenor role, read Guide Notes for Convenors.

How to use the Network Sites as the Network Convenor

Uploading documents: As the Network Convenor, you can use the Network Sites in the same ways as Network Members, but you can also upload documents to the 'Meeting Documents' section and edit any documents uploaded to the site. The 'Meeting Documents' section should only be used for meeting minutes and agendas. There are template agendas generated for each meeting, ready for you to edit in 'Meeting Documents'.

Creating collaborative documents: Convenors can control which documents Members have permission to edit. To provide or revoke Network Members' edit permissions, click the 'Share' button at the top right of a document and then 'Manage Access'. You then change the 'insert name Network name Members' permissions to 'can edit' or 'can view'.

Meeting times and agendas: The Quarterly Network Meetings are automatically created at the beginning of each year. There are template agendas generated for each meeting, ready for you to edit. These are found in the 'Meeting Documents' section of the Network Sites.

To organise meetings outside of the standard Quarterly Network Meetings or to request a one-off change to a Quarterly Meeting time, you will need to email clcnsw@clcnsw.org.au and one of our staff will action that on your behalf.

To request a permanent change to your Network's scheduled Quarterly Meeting time, please email us at clcnsw@clcnsw.org.au and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.
