Our board
Community Legal Centres NSW is governed by talented and dedicated board members with experience across the community legal centre sector.
Ken Beilby (Chair)
Ken is the Chair of the Community Legal Centres NSW Board since August 2024, and Principal Solicitor at Seniors Rights Centre since November 2022. Before Seniors Rights Service, Ken worked as a solicitor at Central Coast Community Legal Centre.
Mark Holden
Mark is Acting Director for Mob Strong Debt Help at the Financial Rights Legal Centre. Mob Strong Debt Help is a free nationwide legal advice and financial counselling service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Mark is a proud Dunghutti man.
Allienttia Weldon-Oti
Allienttia is First Nations Access Officer at Welfare Rights Centre. She is a proud Aboriginal woman originating from the Wayilwan, Gomeori, and Wiradjuri nations. Allienttia studied Community Services at TAFE and Criminology and Criminal Justice at UNSW.
Patrick O'Callahan
Patrick is a Principal Solicitor at Western NSW Community Legal Centre. He is passionate about advocating for people experiencing disadvantage in regional and remote areas, and improving their rights to access justice.
Kip Werren
Kip is a lecturer in the School of Law at the University of New England. Kip’s specialty is disability legal issues and funding of community legal centres. He is the treasurer and long-standing member of North and Northwest Community Legal Service.
Melanie Noden
Melanie is the CEO of Justice Support Centre since 2023. She has extensive experience as a CEO and director, spanning the not-for-profit, legal, corporate and banking sectors. Before joining Justice Support Centre, Melanie worked in international development.
Leo Patterson Ross
Leo is the CEO of the Tenants’ Union of NSW. He has worked in housing justice and community development for over 15 years, and has spent more than a decade assisting renters, their advocates and the broader public to understand and navigate the housing system.
